Recruitment - Field Training Officer Program
All new recruits undergo a rigorous program of field training under the supervision of a field training officer (FTO). Only after the FTO and various supervisors are satisfied that the recruit is up to the standards of the Durham Police Department is the recruit released from the field training process.
